August 2015 Newsdumpster

Warning To All Of Our New Newsdumpster Subscribers:  This Newsdumpster Contains More News Than Usual.

Following six weeks on our Further Midwest Tour, we spent one more loitering on Long Island, doing a couple of shows and helping Ken's mother move from Queens to Boston.  We're finally home for the next five minutes, during which time we'll present our official Further West CD release show, featuring our long-suffering cellist, Suzanne Mueller, traveling up from Long Island, and Brattleboro's own Lissa Schneckenberger on violin.  If you're looking for yet another reason to visit bucolic southern Vermont, we urge you to block off Saturday, August 8th at 7:00 p.m at the historic Wardsboro Town Hall at your earliest convenience. This is a one-time event, so if you come at a different time, this event will not exist.

Speaking of Further West, our newest and most colorful album and already in its second modest pressing, is beginning to swallow up affectionate reviews from such groovy publications as Folk Radio UK, FATEA (UK), Moors (Netherlands) and Vermont's own Seven Days. If you're the type that's impressed by rankings, the Folk Music Radio Airplay Chart skewers Further West at 10 for July and 6 for June.

See photos of us acting like stupid people at or close to home here.
